The Alamo
The Alamo Best known as the site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, the rest of the 300-year history is vital to understanding why the Battle happened and its importance. Though the structure is famous for being the site of the 1836 battle between Texas revolutionary forces and the Mexican army, it played an important role in the events that led up to that infamous battle and the later course of Texas history. The Alamo was originally established by Catholic missionaries in 1718. We will tour the church.
3
San Antonio River Walk
The San Antonio River Walk is the #1 attraction in Texas. San Antonio is a city steeped in more than 300 years of traditions and heritage. The San Antonio River Walk is a city park and special-case pedestrian street in San Antonio, Texas, one level down from the automobile street. The River Walk winds and loops under bridges as two parallel sidewalks lined with restaurants and shops, connecting the major tourist draws such as the Shops at Rivercenter, the Arneson River Theatre, Marriage Island, La Villita, HemisFair Park, the Tower Life Building, the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl, and the city's five Spanish colonial missions, which have been named a World Heritage Site, which includes the Alamo. During the annual springtime Fiesta San Antonio, the River Parade features flowery floats that float down the river. We will have lunch here. If the weather permits we will take the boat tour.
4
Texas Capitol
Austin TX The Texas Capitol is widely recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. We will take a tour

Greetings from Austin Mural
Austin Mural What makes up the mural? Inspired by a 1940s postcard, the vibrant mural depicts Austin landmarks like the Congress Avenue Bridge, The University of Texas Tower, and Barton Springs. It was lovingly restored in 2013, thanks to donations from the community.
