Move to the next attraction and admire the football stadium, which was opened on October 9, 1924, under the name of Municipal Grant Park Stadium which was later renamed Soldier Field in memory of those who died during World War I. Now the site holds big sports events and concerts holding 61,500 spectators.

Clarence F. Buckingham Fountain
Get to the splendid Buckingham Fountain, one of the biggest fountains in the world. It was a gift to the city from Kate Buckingham in memory of her brother Clarence, so the full name of the fountain is Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain. It was designed by the main architect of Chicago Edward H. Bennett, who was inspired by the Fountain of Laton near the Palace of Versailles in Paris.
