Begin with a morning cruise from the meet location up the San Juan Skyway to Silverton, featuring dramatic views of 14,000 ft. peaks. Once in Silverton, you will switch over to our 4x4 Jeeps.

San Juan Mountains

The jeep tour will bring you into the heart of the San Juans. Discover 150-year-old mining settlements, meadows, and panoramic mountain views. Your guide provides stories, information, and answers questions.

Silverton

After the jeep tour, you will spend about an hour in Silverton where you will explore this small mountain town, eat some lunch and shop. The train station is located in town as well, where you will begin the next portion of your journey!

San Juan National Forest

As you take the train from Silverton to Durango, you will travel through the incredible Animas River Canyon in the San Juan National Forest. With towering mountain peaks in the background and the stunningly blue river below, you will truly see the best that Colorado has to offer!
