Embark on an adventurous mountain-top day hike with a local expert trail guide in the Bitterroot Mountains. Hike in snow until July! Rental gear included. Learn about local plants and animals and talk about the natural history of the Bitterroot. You'll also learn how to recreate responsibly in the backcountry, (Leave No Trace) and you'll learn how to navigate the backcountry in all types of settings.
Backpacks, trekking poles, bear spray, and safety equipment rentals are included in the price. Book a private tour, and your guide will even carry your gear for you!
Trail Mix, Beef and Vegan Jerky, and Cliff/Lara/Granola Bars are given to you in your snack bag! A variety of other surprise snacks to be provided as well!
Your guide will also carry a water filter, first aid, Garmin GPS communicator, and other basic necessities like toiletries for an outing in the backcountry.
This hike is 9 miles round trip with 3300 ft of elevation gain, but can be shorted for private excursions!
