What To Expect
1
Judd Trail
1.2-mile loop trail, takes an average of 33 min to complete. You will begin by hiking up along Nuuanu Stream to a swimming hole that is great on a hot day. Beautiful scenery, lush landscapes, and family-friendly paths. Challenges are muddy spots and slippery creek crossings.
2
Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens
Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden is a lush 400-acre oasis in Kaneohe, Oahu, designed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood protection and opened to the public in 1982. It lives up to it with serene lakes, sweeping mountain views, and meticulously curated plant collections from tropical regions worldwide—including the Philippines, Malaysia, Polynesia, and Africa. We can explore scenic walking trails, simply relax amid the tranquil beauty. The garden’s dramatic Koʻolau Mountain backdrop make it uniquely authentic. It’s a perfect escape into nature.
3
Lanikai Beach
Lanikai Beach, on Oahu’s windward coast, is a postcard-perfect stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise waters, framed by the iconic twin Mokulua Islands. Its name means "heavenly sea," and its calm, shallow waters make it ideal for swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. The gentle offshore breeze and vibrant coral reefs attract snorkelers, while sunrise views over the Koʻolau Mountains draw early risers. Nestled in a quiet residential area with limited parking, Lanikai retains an uncrowded, serene vibe. Though lacking facilities, its natural beauty—soft sand, swaying palms, and clear waters—makes it one of Hawaii’s most idyllic shores.
4
Nu'uanu Pali Lookout
The Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout is a breathtaking wind-swept cliffside vista on Oʻahu, offering panoramic views of Oʻahu's windward coast and the towering Koʻolau Mountains. This historic site marks the 1795 Battle of Nuʻuanu, where King Kamehameha I secured Oʻahu, forever changing Hawaii's history. At 1,200 feet elevation, the lookout is famous for its powerful trade winds, misty rain showers, and dramatic cloud-covered cliffs. The lush, jagged terrain below—once an ancient Hawaiian trail—adds to its wild beauty. Just a short drive from Honolulu, the Pali Lookout provides a quick escape into nature and history, though strong gusts often make it a short but unforgettable stop.
