2
Simmons Island Beach
Our first chance to find treasure will be on the shore of Lake Michigan at Simmons Island Beach. The hobby of metal detecting can be both rewarding and enjoyable at the same time. The hobby is fun and has been around for decades and is becoming more and more accessible for everyone to try. Everything you find is yours for the keeping. Good Luck!!
3
Eichelman Park
We will all drive separately to the next location about a mile away, located at Eichelman Beach, at Eichelman Park. Parking is located on the street or in the public lot by the marina. This is a beach and park on the Lake Michigan shore with a walking and bike trail and playground. It's adjacent to Wolfenbuttel Park. The spacious park is lined with shade trees and there is plenty of space for a picnic or cookout. The playground is a bonus for families looking to spend the whole day outdoors. The beach itself is protected by a small jetty, making it a calmer area for splashing.
