Explore secret petroglyph sites and a mini-slot canyon on this half-day adventure hike on the wild, less traveled side of Snow Canyon State Park. This rugged, off-trail ~3-mile tour crosses varied terrain and can take between 2-4 hours (time at sites, breaks, photo ops).
DISCLAIMER: Rough terrain with thick sandy and rocky sections, uneven, slanted, slick rock traverses, and minor scrambling. No big hills, but many short ups and downs and tricky footing. The hike is at 3,500 feet, so altitude may be a factor. A moderate fitness level and sturdy shoes are required.
Here's how a happy hiker described this tour:
"My friends and I had a blast! Lydia knew all the best spots – there is no way we would have found these! Within minutes, we were climbing around the red rock like kids. Lydia brought us near the mysterious slot canyon, gave us a couple of hints, and let us discover 3 sets of amazing petroglyphs on our own—one of the coolest hikes I’ve done!"
