Lincoln Memorial
It is the most iconic memorial in the country, dedicated in 1922, honoring the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln who occupies an almost mythic and revered place in the hearts of Americans everywhere.

Korean War Veterans Memorial
This memorial has a black granite wall reflecting 19 stainless steel statues representing the 38th months of the Korean War. This was not just an American effort, and this memorial honors all those United Nations countries.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial
A quiet place designed for reflection, this memorial has over 58 thousand names of US casualties from this conflict etched into the black granite panels. Accommodating the wall is the Three Soliders Statue and a memorial to the female nurses who served.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial
Step off the National Mall to the Tidal Basin to visit one of the newer memorials dedicated to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Washington Monument
555 Feet tall, this is the largest free standing masonry structure in the world! A monument to the first President and Father of the Country, George Washington. Since 1888 this monument has towered over DC and the surrounding country side.

See the south lawn of the White House, where the President's helicopter, Marine One, lands.
