Overview
The first Jewish Commodore, Uriah Levy, is remembered for ending the practice of flogging in the Navy. Less known was his fight against antisemitism, whether that fight was in a courtroom or with his fists.

Levy's story includes pirates, founding fathers, and tenacity in the face of prejudice.

His story will have you laughing and cheering as we enjoy sites along the beautiful Delaware River.

We will finish with a drink at A Man Full of Trouble Tavern, Philadelphia's only original pre-revolutionary tavern still standing.
