Slavery Exhibits: Explore the various exhibits that focus on the lives of the enslaved people who lived and worked on the Whitney Plantation. These exhibits include original buildings, slave cabins, memorials, and artwork that aim to convey the harsh realities of slavery. Wall of Honor: Take a moment to visit the Wall of Honor, which displays the names of more than 350 enslaved individuals who lived on the plantation. This tribute helps personalize their stories and allows visitors to reflect on the human impact of slavery. Memorial Artwork: The museum features thought-provoking memorial artwork, such as the "Field of Angels" sculpture, which represents the estimated 2,200 enslaved children who died in St. John the Baptist Parish.
